Scrapbook addict

Hello....my name is Jamie and I am a scrapbook paper collection addict!!!!!  I bet you all can relate and have collection upon collection still in their packages right....yep I know I do.  We buy them up for the future perfect pictures and then sometimes those pictures never come around, or another line comes around first.  Am I right?  Well lets stop the collecting and get creating!!!!

Most of you know that BoBunny is one of my all time favorite lines of Scrapbook supplies and I so remember when this paper was released, I begged, bugged and pleaded with my favorite blonde-headed scrapbook store owner (and employer at the time) to order this and yay I bugged her enough.  LOL!!!  I bought TONS of this line to let me tel you.  I made the birthday invitations with this line even.  It has just taken me 17 months to actually get a layout done fo the day at Water Rampage though.  This was T man's 12th Birthday. I have done one other layout from this line of paper related to his birthday and as a page kit but this one I even used embelishments.  And don't pass out but I did not use my Camoeo or Cricut for this at all.....I know shocked right.  That is how much I love this line.
"Splash" was part of a sticker pack with this collection so all I had to do was figure out where to put it on the page and peel it off the sticker packet. Love it.
I forgot that these brads were in the pack of brads and buttons, but it fits these kids perfectly. They were so much fun and are amazing friends to last a lifetime. Always Laugh, we all need to remember that now don't we. Another one says Always Dream. Perfect for sure.
Loved the trinkets fr this one too, especally the starfish!!! I even used a journal box from the collection too, and note I journaled, but let me tell you it is not easy for me to journal when  am this far behind, and for me this is really REALLY behind.
So how many of you out there have bought collections for a specific purpose and actually use them.....or are you, like me collecting those lines instead of using them?  I challenge you to use them, make them beautiful creations to share.  I want to see some of them so get to creating ladies!!!

Layout Challenge

Okay ladies so I need some "Friendspiration" and thought it would be fun for us to all do a layout challenge together via the good old blog and email network.  I have been noticing a lot of trends lately with circles on layouts.  I found these both on Pinterest and loved them.  I am still not sure what I am going to do yet with the "circle" theme but thought both of these were great to get the "ball rolling"  LOL!!!!
So lets start off 2013 and reconnect with our hobby. Lets see what we can all come up with using a circle theme. The layouts of course DO NOT have to be exact replicas of these or even close, or just one picture even. Make the circle your own, use as many or as few of pictures, papers, embelishments etc as you wish.  Just keep it as a circle themed layout.

The rules, no rules really, lets just give ourselves a time limit, and since it is the first one in a while, lets go with 2 weeks to get it done, I might need that long myself...LOL.  So today is January 9th, so lets set the finish date for the 23rd, but of course no pressure to participate or finish it by then if you can't.  If you decide to participate just create away and when you are finished or even while you are working on it snap a few pictures and email them to me at jltimson@gmail.com and sometime after the 23rd I will post them, with your permission of course on here to share with everyone.
Now get busy and create, I miss seeing everyone's ideas and inspiration.
Happy scrappin' and creating my sweet friends!!!
Love ya bunches!!!!!!

Rockets Away

Happy 2013!!!! I am back, yippy.  Finally feeling a little creative mojo after a very busy few months of moving 1000+ miles from Texas to Delaware, settling in or trying to that is, new computer and the holidays.  Bear with me as I get the hang of the blogging thing again, and taking pictures of my creations okay. Hope everyone is doing fabulously!!!!

I have only created 3 total layouts since the move and this is #3. I am officially super behind on T's albums now, these pics are from July 2011....which for me is really, REALLY behind. So without further blabbing.....here it is.

I follow this website for page kits on Facebook called "Out on a Limb Scrapbooking" and I love how they keep it simple and very traditional sometimes with just basic cardstock and die-cuts and well since I have my fabulous Silhouette Cameo I decided I was going to keep this one simple too.  I love how it turned out.

The font is from the silhouette store, I have all of their fonts now, well all the ones I liked that is, thanks to a super duper sale at Thanksgiving time for half price.  Anyway the font is LD Boogie Down and I think it is perfect for this page.  I cut them out with my Cameo and then used a simple white milk pen to outline the edges
to add a little something extra to it.

The rockets and the clouds are also from the Silhouette online store too.  I still need to figure out how to create some of my own things, but honestly I am still learning how to use the software and machine, again I have not scrapped a whole lot in the past 6 months BUT I love this machine. I have  sed my Cricut maybe 2 times since I was given the Cameo.  I still have my Cricut and Gypsy but am deciding whether or not I want to keep it. I probably will keep it just in case.  Only time will tell.

Anyway, I hope everyone enjoys.  I know it is simple, but sometimes back to basics helps get the juices flowing after all.  Now on to create another page or two this afternoon.

As always if anyone has any questions, suggestions for blog posts, swaps etc just make a comment or email me at jltimson@gmail.com

Happy Scrappin' ladies!!!
